Stephen Quainoo is the Project Coordinator for Pacific Northwest Black Business Coalition (PNWBBC) responsible for ensuring that all activities of the organization are well organized, clearly communicated, and properly documented to guarantee project success.
Stephen’s previous professional experience as an Operations Manager for a hospitality
company, as well as a Global Operations Manager for an International Nonprofit, and his love
for traveling which has taken him to over 20 countries around the world; blessed him with 5
different languages and also given him a deep understanding and respect for different cultures,
his passion for helping others, coupled with his rich cultural and educational background, has all
together equipped him with some very important skills needed to excel in this Project Coordinator role for PNWBBC.
Semhal Araya serves as the Youth Development Officer for the Pacific Northwest Black Business Coalition (PNWBBC). In this role, she is primarily responsible for designing/executing class curricula and advancing the digital campaign.

Semhal Araya serves as the Youth Development Officer for the Pacific Northwest Black Business Coalition (PNWBBC). In this role, she is primarily responsible for designing/executing class curricula and advancing the digital campaign.
Semhal received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duke University, with a minor in Computer Science, as well as a certificate in Human Rights. There, she tutored math and reading to elementary school students while also serving leadership roles in various student organizations. Her studies also included a focus in the Italian language (in addition to her native Tigrinya) and a multiculturalism semester in South Africa. Since graduating, Semhal has continued her work in the education sector, conducting research and teaching.
